Recent Level 2 graduate, Jessica Suba, says NZTC’s zero-fee study scholarships have been instrumental in helping her become a well-rounded Healthcare Assistant.

“This scholarship supported me greatly in achieving my dream to be a better Healthcare Assistant, and has allowed me to gain a more in-depth understanding of my job. I’m supporting my family back home, so having my study fees covered has been a huge blessing.”

A love for the elderly inspired Suba to pursue study in healthcare, and she chose NZTC after its flexible study modes and wraparound student support came highly recommended to her.

“Studying with NZTC was a totally stress-free experience. Given the flexible nature of the program, I was able to manage my work, family and studies in balance.

“I found the student support excellent as well, I always had ample time to complete assessments, and lecturers were just an eMessage away.”

Now working as a Healthcare Assistant at Radius Care Elloughton Gardens in Timaru, she loves putting into practice what she’s learned.

“With love and kindness, everything is possible. If you love what you are doing, you won't feel tired, especially when you see that you are making a difference in someone’s life.”

Keen to continue providing the best possible care for her residents, Suba is excited to embrace the opportunities available with NZTC’s study scholarships and pursue a Level 3 qualification.

“I want to continue levelling up my skills and knowledge. Thank you so much to all the people behind the scenes at NZTC, you have helped me a lot. I’m looking forward to studying the next level.”

For others considering Health and Wellbeing study with NZTC, Suba offers some words of advice.

“Enhancing your knowledge can make a real difference to your future. Don’t stop believing, just trust yourself and nothing will be impossible!”
