- Student Fee Insurance $50
Covers the insurance to protect student fees. The fee is based upon one stage of study. - Student ID card $30
One off payment at beginning of study. Students must submit a photo for a student card to be produced. Replacement cards for lost or stolen cards are $30. - NZQA Reporting Fee $10
Covers the cost of reporting qualification to NZQA.
If you are applying for Credit Recognition and Transfer (CRT):
- CRT Assessment Fee $95
The fee is non-refundable even if no CRT credit is awarded.
Fees Free
If you are a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident and new to tertiary study then you might be eligible to receive your first year of study for free. The New Zealand government will cover the cost of tuition and mandatory fees for the first 120 credits – the equivalent of one year of full-time study. To see if you are eligible, visit their website at www.feesfree.govt.nz.
Safeguarding tuition fees
In the unlikely event that New Zealand Tertiary College is unable to deliver the program you have enrolled in, New Zealand Tertiary College has protected your fees with Public Trust. Fees deposited are protected by the Public Trust. This arrangement has been accepted by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority as meeting the requirements of the Education and Training Act 2020 and the Student Fee Protection Rules 2022. Should access to your fees be necessary, you may contact Public Trust on 0800 494 733 or email feeprotect@publictrust.co.nz.
