New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC) welcomes international students from all over the world.
NZTC’s comprehensive Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs in Early Childhood Education are delivered via our online learning platform, on-campus lectures and through early childhood centres throughout the country.
Graduates of our Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education), Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood Education) and Master of Teaching and Learning (Early Childhood Education) programs may be eligible to apply for New Zealand teacher registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Qualified ECE teachers are now included on Immigration New Zealand’s Green List, as Tier 2 roles. This may provide residency opportunities for qualified ECE teachers who meet specific eligibility and entry criteria. In addition to our early childhood education programs, NZTC also offers a selection of foundational Health & Wellbeing certificates (Levels 2 to 4), for those students interested in pursuing studies in healthcare.

Study in New Zealand
With a range of services and support structures in place; NZTC aims to make the daunting task of moving to a new country as easy as possible for international students. Our dedicated staff are here to assist students every step of the way.
Study outside New Zealand
Via our online learning platform, NZTC also offers students studying offshore the option to gain an NZQA-approved, early childhood education qualification from their own country. Students studying outside New Zealand are provided with the same comprehensive student support through NZTC’s compliance to the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice.
