If you are a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident and new to tertiary study then you might be eligible to receive your first year of study for free. The New Zealand government will cover the cost of tuition and mandatory fees for the first 120 credits – the equivalent of one year of full-time study. To see if you are eligible, visit their website at www.feesfree.govt.nz.
If you are a full-time student and a New Zealand or Australian citizen, or a permanent resident, you may be eligible for a student loan or allowance through StudyLink to help with your compulsory fees, course related costs and living costs.
