Student support and learning continues online
Our NZTC community has been at the front of our thoughts as the Covid-19 situation quickly evolved over the last few weeks. The gift of our technology-enabled education systems supported us to move fast to a place of isolation for our students and staff. Health and safety is our first priority.
Our Early Childhood Education and Health and Wellbeing students are continuing their studies online for the time ahead in the safety of their own homes. Some study processes are a little different than they usually would be without the face-to-face interaction, but with the full support of The Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand | Matatū Aotearoa and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, our students continue to progress towards their study goals.
“With the communities we serve being the most vulnerable in our society – young children, families and elder care – we honour a duty of care to ourselves, to our students and to our vulnerable communities to make pro-health decisions,” said NZTC Chief Executive Selena Fox.
As the nation self-isolates to prevent the spread of Covid-19, online learning provides a beneficial opportunity for increased knowledge and career progression. All of NZTC’s programs are currently available to study from Health and Wellbeing Level 2, through to Level 9 early childhood master’s programs.
Our extensive student support continues with Pastoral Support, IT Help, Academic Support and Library Support easily accessible and available to all.
We look forward to hearing from you.
