Pastoral Support Team dedicated to students’ wellbeing
The wellbeing of students is New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC)’s top priority. As the college welcomes passionate and hardworking students from throughout New Zealand and across the globe, NZTC’s Pastoral Support Team is dedicated to assisting each and every student throughout their studies.
For Pastoral Support Manager Anne-Sophie Adelys, her students are more than just students.
“They may also be parents, aunts and uncles, colleagues and team members. We understand that sometimes ‘life happens’ which can interrupt study plans,” shares Anne-Sophie.
“Pastoral Support is here to support students to minimise the impact on their studies and to support their holistic wellbeing. We are dedicated to providing confidential, non-judgmental support that is only a phone call or email away.”
For those who may be unfamiliar with online learning, or are studying outside their home country, embarking on a new educational journey can feel daunting.
A team with extensive experience, Pastoral Support ensures students settle comfortably in to the NZTC way of life, and feel confident to successfully complete their studies – wherever they may be in the world.
They also offer support regarding any issues, personal or professional, that may affect academic performance, and can refer students to external support agencies should they be required.
Many students have expressed their appreciation of the team’s support over the past year, with one graduate sharing, “I felt safe and looked after by everyone at NZTC - particularly the Pastoral Support Team - who would give me a call just to see how I was doing and to ask if I needed anything”.
NZTC encourages all students to get in touch with the college’s friendly Pastoral Support Team if they have any queries or concerns. They can be contacted at support@nztertiarycollege.ac.nz.
