Healthcare professionals are able to complete the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing – Health Assistance Strand (Level 3) and the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Advanced Support) (Level 4) through online learning in the safety of their home.

New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC) is offering Health and Wellbeing study scholarships to students looking to increase their healthcare knowledge online with $99.00 fees for a very limited time.

The New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing – Health Assistance Strand (Level 3) will develop professional, ethical and highly capable Healthcare Assistants with a strong foundation of knowledge. Students will become responsive to the changing needs of their clients, and be able to provide outstanding person-centred care. Key courses include Vulnerable Clients, Person-Centred Care, and Client Independence in Healthcare.

The New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Advanced Support) (Level 4) will develop collaborative advanced Healthcare Assistants who are active contributors within their teams and wider work places. Students will become leaders in their fields, guiding themselves and others towards providing advanced, person-centred care, positive organisational change, and improving the quality of care for clients with complex needs. Key courses include Culturally Appropriate and Safe Care, Leadership in Healthcare, and The Client’s Voice.

“These online scholarships will support learners to upskill in the safety of their own homes as we navigate the Covid-19 situation together, with a focus on protecting our vulnerable communities. Courses will provide students with additional confidence and knowledge to support them in the time ahead,” says NZTC Chief Executive Selena Fox.

Students will study online for a duration of 22 weeks following monthly start dates. Both the Level 3 and 4 qualifications are NZQA approved and recognised under the pay equity settlement.
