NZTC students eligible for Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund

Health and Wellbeing News

From 1 July 2020, eligible programs under the new government initiated Targeted Training and Apprenticeships Fund (TTAF) will be available for study for no tuition fees from New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC). TTAF will cover fees from 1 July 2020 until 31 December 2022.

NZTC programs that are eligible for this fund include:

• New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing – Health Assistance Strand (Level 3)

• New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Advanced Support) (Level 4)

New students to these programs will not be invoiced for any fees and those students who have already begun their studies will receive proportional refunds relative to when their study began.

The fund is targeted towards industry skill needs where demand from employers for these skills will continue to be strong, or is expected to grow, during New Zealand’s recovery period from the impacts of COVID-19.

“We are honoured to support the education of essential skill workers in New Zealand as the country unites in its response and recovery to Covid-19,” says NZTC Chief Executive Selena Fox.

The college looks forward to supporting Health and Wellbeing students with this free study opportunity.
