NZTC Highlights Commitment to Aged Care Workforce at 2024 Aged Care Association Conference

NZTC Cares

In October, NZTC was proud to take part in the 2024 Aged Care Association Conference, hosted by the Aged Care Association in Auckland. This year’s event focused on, Fit for the Future, bringing together leaders and decision-makers to discuss the evolving challenges and opportunities within Aotearoa’s aged care sector.

As the only tertiary education provider represented at the conference, the event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with industry leaders and share how the college’s qualifications can meet the needs of their teams. Many attendees showed particular interest in the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Advanced Care and Support) (Level 4) - a qualification designed to equip caregivers with advanced skills to excel in their roles.

NZTC’s Lecturer in Health and Wellbeing, Maria Boston, was among those attending the conference. Between engaging sessions, Maria commented, "This conference is a major annual event in New Zealand for the movers and shakers in aged care. It was a great privilege to meet leaders from Te Whatu Ora and the Aged Care Association.”

The conference offered an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, build connections, and showcase NZTC’s commitment to empowering the aged care workforce.
