NZTC gifts Music and Movement Ribbons to the early childhood sector
Children love to express themselves through dance, song and movement. Encouraging our tamariki to engage in this play creates shared times of happiness, energy, rhythm and laughter.
To support the early childhood sector, and encourage some fun during these Covid-19 challenged times, New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC) is gifting a set of Music and Movement Ribbons to early childhood centres throughout the country.
The boxed set features seven pairs of different coloured bright ribbons that are made to fit children’s wrists, keeping their hands free to dance, wave, clap and sing, while improving their coordination, motor skills and body awareness.
Kaiako can share these ribbons during waiata and see the music come to life as children twirl, leap, run and dance, filling the room with bright swirls of colour!
“We are thrilled to share these colourful educational resources with early childhood centres, gifting into their curriculums, and supporting teachers to encourage music and movement for young children,” says NZTC Chief Executive Selena Fox.
The college looks forward to sharing this gift from the HEART as we share in the joy that these ribbons will bring to children, teachers and families throughout New Zealand.
