Level 3 to Level 6 enrolments close for 2024 as places fill quickly
Due to high demand, four of New Zealand Tertiary College’s (NZTC) Level 3 to Level 6 study programs have closed for domestic enrolments until the next intake in January 2025.
The popular programs include the New Zealand Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 5), New Zealand Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 6), New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing – Health Assistance Strand (Level 3), and the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Advanced Care and Support) (Level 4).
Early childhood education students interested in pursuing the Level 5 and Level 6 Diplomas have the opportunity to instead pursue the college’s Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) degree, subject to entry criteria.
The first two years of the Bachelor degree are equivalent to the Level 5 and Level 6 Diplomas respectively, with the addition of practical experience in an early childhood centre that will prepare students for New Zealand teacher registration.
“The sector continues to be in need of qualified kaiako, and we look forward to supporting future students through one of our qualification pathways. If prospective students are unsure, it is best to get in touch with our admissions team so that we can discuss with them the best option for further opportunities for career growth and development through study with NZTC,” says ECE Sector Liaison, Chelsea Bracefield.
For Health and Wellbeing students, enrolments are paused for the Level 3 and Level 4 Certificates.
These programs are designed specifically with the healthcare sector’s needs in mind, and have proven very popular with spaces in this year’s intakes filling up quickly.
In the meantime, enrolments are still open for the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 2) study program for those interested in gaining entry-level knowledge and practice within the health and wellbeing sector.
