ECE sector need responded to by NZTC

Early Childhood Education News

Early childhood teachers are strongly sought after in the sector as centres struggle to fill teaching vacancies. The demand for registered early childhood teachers is currently greater than supply.

New Zealand Tertiary College has been committed to supporting early childhood teacher education for over 37 years. Over the next few months, this commitment will be furthered as the college gifts extensive teaching scholarships for a limited time to encourage the growth of registered teachers throughout New Zealand.

NZTC will be gifting scholarships for the following programs:

New Zealand Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 5) Was $5,848 Now $999

Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) First Year Was $6,021 Now $999

Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood Education) Was $8,071 Now $1,899

NZTC Chief Executive Selena Fox shared, “As the year ends and people contemplate their next steps for 2020, we are gifting these scholarships with the hope of encouraging and supporting increased teachers for our ECE sector. Our commitment to empowering students to care, educate and serve is resolute.”
