Early Childhood Education study scholarships extended
With overwhelming interest in NZTC’s last scholarship offer, the college is extending ECE study scholarships to support the early childhood sector’s need for registered early childhood teachers.
NZTC is offering reduced fee scholarships for the first year of the Bachelor of Teaching (ECE), the Graduate Diploma in Teaching (ECE) and the New Zealand Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 5).
Through flexible study options and wraparound student support services, NZTC’s study scholarships support students to progress their journey towards New Zealand teacher registration.
For Graduate Diploma in Teaching (ECE) graduate, Debbie Fordyce, gaining an ECE qualification has improved her teaching practice as a more well-rounded kaiako.
“I knew that being a qualified teacher would be advantageous, and I was keen to further my knowledge and what I could offer as a kaiako. I was also impressed with the scholarships offered, and that you could apply and be approved to study within a short timeframe.
“My NZTC studies have provided me with much knowledge, and prompted me to improve my practice as I consider new information and how it aligns with my teaching philosophy and my centre’s values.
“It has cemented some of my views, values and beliefs, and made me question and re-think others. It has encouraged me to think more critically and be more reflective within my practice.”
Limited time. For domestic students only.
