Māori Alphabet Magnets

Ngā Aukume o Te Pū Taka Māori | Te Reo Māori Alphabet Magnets

Inspired by our commitment to TeTiriti-based practice and the revitalisation of te reo Māori, our 15 educational magnets have been created to support kaiako as they share te reo Māori with tamariki.

The magnets have been designed with bright and colourful images to encourage learning, spark curiosity, and support hand-eye coordination.

This taonga provides an opportunity to practice and develop the use of te reo Māori and tikanga within early childhood environments in engaging and meaningful ways (Education Council, 2017).

It is an honour to share Ngā Aukume o Te Pū Taka Māori with our early childhood community. We are steadfast in our commitment to supporting the learning outcomes of Mana Reo in Te Whāriki and the everyday sharing of te reo Māori by kaiako.

Below are an array of resources to support you with ideas of how to use our magnets with the young children in your care.
