NZTC supports ECE sector with new teaching resources
Early childhood professionals continue their learning journeys long beyond their graduation. Educational resources focused on early childhood education are integral to the professional development of the sector, and New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC) is honoured to have supported new editions of two educational resources in collaboration with New Shoots Publishing.
Furthering the legacy of Playcentre Publications and Ako Books; the new editions of ‘Inspired to Build’ and ‘Making Music Together’ offer practical tips and strategies to implement block play and music and movement in creative and meaningful ways.
‘Inspired to Build’ shares block play ideas steeped in language development, social relationships, maths and science concepts, while ‘Making Music Together’ offers inspiration for music and movement in early childhood, including listening, singing, playing and moving.
“Continual professional development is essential to the success of our early childhood teachers. ‘Inspired to Build’ and ‘Making Music Together’ are key learning resources that will support the professional libraries of the ECE sector. NZTC is honoured to have supported this compilation of inspiring ideas and knowledge in our 40th anniversary year,” said Chief Executive, Selena Fox.
