Limited time ECE teaching scholarships
The early childhood sector has a critical need for qualified early childhood teachers. New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC) has taken action to support students to pursue an early childhood teaching qualification.
Significantly reduced study scholarships are available for a limited time with the intention of removing financial stress from being a reason not to commence study and the achievement of professional goals.
The Graduate Diploma in Teaching (ECE), the Bachelor of Teaching (ECE), and the New Zealand Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 5) are available to domestic students for less than one quarter of the usual study fee if students apply before 24 February 2019.
NZTC Chief Executive Selena Fox said the scholarships were a result of the college’s careful reflection on the sector’s need, and how to best support the future of early childhood education in New Zealand.
“Children’s wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at NZTC. Our youngest generation deserve the very best teachers, and I am confident that these scholarships will support newly qualified teachers to provide an education that inspires, educates and guides them every step of the way,” said Fox.
The college was recently awarded NZQA Category One status for the third time consecutively.
“Extensive needs analysis ensures NZTC responds well to sector needs. Programmes are carefully developed and reviewed to ensure strong matching of needs,” said NZQA.
