HW405 : The Client’s Voice

For a Healthcare Assistant to truly embody a person-centred approach to care, it is essential to prioritise listening and responding to the client’s voice. This course explores the importance of advocacy and empowerment, as well as the possible implications of not promoting these principles in practice. It places a focus on the responsibilities of a Healthcare Assistant to support, protect and provide a platform for the client’s voice to be heard, and identifies strategies to go about this.
