The contributors include: Dr. Susan Young, who writes on her work in music education and play, Dr.Sophie Alcock who contributes an article on drama and children's play and Dr.Adrienne Sansom who develops the theme of dance and play. Lesley Pohio considers art and the Emilia Reggio approach and Robyn Trinick adds a reflection on beginning school and music education. Finally Lucy Baigner writes on diverse ways to encourage children's self-initiated musical activity and how to encourage this 'play' within the early childhood setting.
