Services for international students

The International team at New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC) is able to provide the following services to international students. For more details on any of these services, please contact the international team: enrolments@nztertiarycollege.ac.nz.

Medical and travel insurance

This is compulsory for all international students in New Zealand. You can purchase this through NZTC; please email us on: enrolments@nztertiarycollege.ac.nz for more details.

Accommodation

We can help you to find accommodation while you are studying with us. We can arrange either homestay or private hostel accommodation.

A private hostel we recommend is: Rocklands Hostel .

Airport Pick up

If you’ve booked accommodation through NZTC, we can arrange your transport from the airport.

Pastoral Care

We want to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our students, and provide pastoral care support to international students during their study program at NZTC.

We have agreed to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students, published by the New Zealand Ministry of Education. Copies of the Code are available on request from NZTC or from the Ministry of Education website .

Immigration

Full details of visa and permit requirements, advice on rights to employment in New Zealand while studying, and reporting requirements are available through the New Zealand Immigration Service, and can be viewed on their website at http://www.immigration.govt.nz .

Academic Support

We have specially-appointed lecturers who can provide extra academic support to our international students. We can provide one-on-one lessons in academic writing, referencing, and journal readings.

Career Support

NZTC gives career guidance to international students and can provide access to a network of potential early childhood employers.
