The Academic Board provides formal monitoring and advice on matters affecting the teaching and learning functions of the College, the establishment of the College's educational objectives and priorities, the development of long-term and short-term plans and the effective use of resources in the course of these pursuits. It responds to the needs of staff, students, internal and external monitoring bodies.

The Academic Board is appointed and administered by the Chief Executive (or nominee), and consists of senior academic staff of the College, representation from other academic institutions offering similar programs, and other selected members as required.
