The Advisory Committee provides advice on various professional, academic, industrial and social matters such as training and assessment, standards and current trends related to New Zealand Tertiary College, College programs and the wider community.

The Academic Board is appointed and administered by the Chief Executive (or nominee), and consists of staff, student, professional, industry and community members. The Board includes cultural representatives and tangata whenua.
