ecelearn is a New Zealand-based company which specialises in online learning solutions for the early childhood profession.  ecelearn provides the software and programming expertise behind NZTC Online, our unique e-learning software used to deliver our distance learning programs.

ecelearn founders Selena Fox (Chief Executive, New Zealand Tertiary College) and Dr. Chip Donohue (Director of Distance Learning at the Erikson Institute, United States) are early childhood teaching professionals and distance learning experts.  They are renowned for their international experience in delivering e-learning training, professional development and leadership programs to higher education institutions and early childhood training organizations.

In the initial stages of considering an online learning option at NZTC, Selena and Chip found that although there are many sophisticated e-learning products, none had the core functionality, features or flexibility that our early childhood learners needed.

In response, they developed ecelearn, an online learning and management system, and a total eLearning solution for the early childhood profession. ecelearn has been developed through the use of Microsoft tools Visual Studio 2005, SQL 2005, Asp.Net 2.0, SmartClient, Enterprise Library, MS Composite Application Block, Atlas, MS Reporting Services and Smart Client Factory.
