
New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC) has one of the largest specialist early childhood libraries in New Zealand, with over 12,000 titles. The library also offers computer and internet access, photocopy facilities and space for individual and small group learning.
You must be an NZTC student to access our library, and hold a valid Student ID card.
If you’re currently a student at NZTC, you can access our catalogue, request forms, research databases and selected journals online by logging in to our website.
Location
The library is located at our Auckland campus: Level 2, 1 Marewa Rd, Greenlane, Auckland. We can send Library items via courier to distance learners or students who live outside the Auckland region (see below).

Normal opening hours

| Friday: | 7:30am-5:00pm |
| Sunday*: | 1:00pm-4:00pm ** |
* If a public holiday falls on a Sunday, the library will be closed. The library will also be closed during the Easter long weekend and Christmas holiday periods.
** On Sundays when there is a block course held at NZTC, the library will be open from 12pm. Please call the college for block course dates.

The Library contains a wide range of resources for your study and research in early childhood education, including:
*Textbooks for your courses are available in the library as reference-only material. You can purchase your own copy of your textbooks from NZTC Books.
** The library may not hold all recommended readings for all courses.
Borrowing and returning books
For students in the Auckland region
If you live in Auckland and are studying through our college-based or field-based mode of study, your library items may be selected and picked up from the library during opening hours, and must be returned to the library by the due date.
Distance Learning students (Correspondence or NZTC Online)
Distance learners living outside the Auckland region are eligible for 10 courier packs per stage/study year (i.e. 5 packs for sending and 5 packs for returning). You must courier your library items back to us by the due date.
If you live within the Auckland region, you will be allocated six packs per stage (i.e. 3 for sending and 3 for returning).
Overdue items
You will incur a fee of $5.00 per week per overdue item.
